PrintThe Pirates have designated Matt Peterson for assignment in order to make room for Roberto Hernandez. I have no complaints about this decision - Peterson was a complete mess - but now all the Pirates have left from the Kris Benson trade is Jose Bautista, who they pointlessly lost only months before in the Rule 5 draft. Yuck.
I didn't have access to internet the last few days. More regular posting will resume starting... NOW.

It would have been quite a surprise if Peterson didn't clear waivers after a year and a half of bad pitching. The Pirates might decide to take a look at him as a reliever."
