Around SBN: This Should Encourage Juan Mata

Los Angeles vs. Pittsburgh, 5 August 2005

Derek Lowe (7-11, 3.99) vs. Josh Fogg (5-6, 4.91). Lowe's record is worse than a Big Gulp right before bedtime, but he isn't having a terrible year. Fun fact: the Dodgers' team OPS is 23 points higher than the Pirates', despite the facts that the Dodgers play in a nasty hitters' park and that they've only had three players collect 300 or more at bats, whereas the Pirates have had six. Admittedly, the Dodgers spent a lot more on their offense than the Pirates did - but if it hadn't been for injuries, they could have had a very good one.
