The Pirates have activated Ryan Doumit. They sent Mike Edwards back to Indianapolis. There's not much to say about this one until we see how it plays out, but I want to see Doumit playing almost every day, and with the Bucs' current infatuation with Ronny Paulino and contractual obligation to Jeromy Burnitz, I don't see how that's going to happen.

The Bucs also signed corner guy Chris Richard and sent him to the minors. Richard was once a decent hitter for the Orioles. He played last year in the Rangers' system. Presumably, he's with the Bucs as insurance in case something bad happens to Craig Wilson.
