-P- Shawn Chacon is an excuse-maker. Also, Neil Walker is going berzerk for Lynchburg.
-P- Pat, Billy and I share our opinions about Oliver Perez with metsdaily.com. Our reports, which were solicited seperately via email, all look pretty similar, actually.
-P- Ken Rosenthal says we're losers.
None of Littlefield's veterans was anything more than a complementary part, but there's simply no way to defend trading outfielder Craig Wilson to the Yankees for right-hander Shawn Chacon.

Ollie Perez
Over at Amazin' Avenue, Mets fans seem to be pretty excited about Ollie and nonplussed about losing Xavier Nady. here's what one fan had to say about the X-man:
"Nady is a very average and flawed player. He hits for power, but his contact skills are wanting, he doesn't walk very much, he doesn't field well, he doesn't run well, and he has trouble against righties. A year or two from now, nobody's likely to be saying, "I sure do miss Xavier Nady."
Ouch.
