-P- How slow has Pirates news been in the past couple days? Slow enough that I wrote a post about A-Rod. And slow enough that I actually noticed that Rick Rhoden is all over Google News for doing well and hitting a hole-in-one in a golf tournament. I never understood golf, personally, so I have no idea what this is about. But it's good that Rhoden's competitive fire is still burning, even if he is just playing a game that strikes me as mostly just an ostentatious waste of land. :)

-P- Jake Peavy won the NL Cy Young Award, surprising no one. Second and third went to Brandon Webb and Brad Penny.
