Dave Parker's Charleston HR

Has anyone ever heard the story of Dave Parker hitting the longest homerun in baseball history?

I grew up in West Virginia hearing stories of Parker's days playing with the Charleston Charlies (the Pirates AAA club in the early/mid 1970s). Train tracks ran about 20 feet from the outfield wall at Charleston's Watt-Powell Park and Parker hit a HR ball into a passing coal train. The ball was later found by a railroad worker in southern Ohio. Parker claims this was the longest homerun in baseball history.

That home run is legend
and I have heard about it for years, but never read or heard a single account by anyone who actually saw it.  He did hit a monster homer in the Vet that hit the Liberty Bell.  One of the most awe-inspiring sights I have witnessed in a ballpark.  Other notable mentions are Jeff Bagwell into the upper deck at TRS off of round-tripper Kipper; Stargell over everything (on TV) at Dodger Stadium in 1969; Bonds hitting one into the second deck in right in TRS on a line--the ball hit the seats before the crack of the bat actually registered, and Norm Cash hitting one off the very top of the right field roof at Tiger Stadium.  Long home runs are a blast.

I haven't seen too many moon shots.
Best one was probably Mark Bellhorn putting one off the top level of the rotunda at PNC. He was in the game as an injury replacement for Bobby Hill (with the Cubs), who got knocked out cold on a takeout slide at second in the early going. I was at the game with my little cousins, and they all thought that he was dead.

Pujols in the playoffs
in Houston. I had a weird experience with that one. Watching in real time from the CF camera, I saw the pitch start to hang, and I swear I saw Albert's eyes get big. Just as he started his swing I said "Crack."

True story: Back in the '60s I was a kid in Forbes for a game vs. the Braves (Aaron in RF) when Stargell hit a ball on the right-field roof. That was a poke. I was in the RF seats, being obnoxious as only a 9-year-old can, and I remember yelling at Aaron earlier in the game ("Hey Henry! Hey Henry!") while Stargell was at the plate, and when he finally glanced over his left shoulder I pointed at the roof. I like to think he went back to the dugout after Stargell's shot and said, "Damn, some kid in the seats just about called that one."

I've tried to find a list of roof shots at Forbes online and can't. Anybody have an old yearbook?

Also saw J.D. Drew hit a one-hopper in the river at PNC.
