We're in on the bidding to Luis Vizcaino? Seriously, why?

I also saw that Mark Prior and Dallas McPherson were both non-tendered today. Any thoughts?

As I've mentioned in previous posts, I'm all for acquiring 3B Dallas McPherson. Reports say he will return from back problems this season, possibly even by spring training. He is 26 (not young anymore), but his numbers were very promising (OPS of 959 in six minor-league seasons) before several injuries derailed him. And with our question marks (Bautista, Walker) at the hot corner, I think this is worth a flyer.

McPherson

Couldn't agree more about acquiring McPherson. If the Nutters aren't going to spend money, then these low-cost/high-potential players are the types of moves Huntington should be looking for. Even an oft criticized GM like Krivsky has creatively found two productive regulars in Hamilton and Phillips for very little cost.

Good point

Crazy Wayne throws money at aged relievers like it's his duty, yet last season, for next to nothing, he got Bradon "The Franchise" Phillips and Josh Hamilton. Both turned out to be very good for the Reds, including Phillips very quietly joining the 30/30 club...

I really believe the reports I've read about Evan Meek though, and believe he will be a big plus out of our bullpen this season.
