Outfielder has been promoted from Hickory to Lynchburg. Boone had been hitting .327/.400/.495 for Hickory. He was the Pirates' 3rd round pick in 2005, but his progress has been slow because of injuries - he only had 99 at bats last year. At 24, he'll have to earn some quick promotions to make it. His first month or two at Lynchburg will probably tell us a lot about whether or not he's a prospect.
