Capps Suspended for Four Games

Matt Capps has been suspended and fined for hitting Prince Fielder this weekend. There's no word yet on whether the suspension will be appealed, but if it isn't, it'll start tomorrow. Capps has pitched in 18 games so far, so a four-game suspension will probably mean he'll miss two to three appearances. My thinking is that the Pirates should just suck it up - they have an off day today, so what's left of the bullpen should be fresh tomorrow, and they'll have their most reliable starter, Ian Snell, on the mound. The Post-Gazette, though, reports that Capps will appeal the suspension.

Capps suspension OK
Anything that keeps Tracy from using Capps in 140 games is OK by me.
