I was listening to Brown/Walk on the radio the other day, and Walk was arguing (very hard and very correctly) that "veteran presence" means nothing to a pitching staff, performance does. Of course, Brown thought you needed veterans to be calming and consistent or something. I can imagine Walk trying very hard not to totally flip his lid over this trade.

ughhh

2 outs and a ball is popped up behind home plate. Paulino takes off his mask, tracks the ball and then misses it by about 2 feet. Ball falls to ground. Next pitch is ripped and Scott Rolen comes home. The relay throw by Jack is on the money, but Paulino drops the damn ball.
