C.C. Sabathia Decides on Yanks

Apperantly evil still reigns; According to sportsline.com, C.C. Sabathia has agreed to a seven year, $160 million contract, the richest contract in MLB history for a pitcher. The Yanks outbid the Red Sox and Angels. Now that the K-Rods and Sabathias are falling into place maybe we will see more moves, and maybe the Bucs will start signing the likes of Paul Byrd (no talk about him in a while though huh?) and David Eckstein. I can't wait!

Sweet Sassy Molassy !

CC and Lowe !?!?!?! With Wang that’s a tough 1-2-3.

they are also...

pursuing Sheets and Burnett from what I read today. Can you imagine if they get one of these guys to go with CC, Lowe and Wang?

People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.-Rogers Hornsby

I think they'll regret the Lowe deal.

He’s not a good person, so there’s much potential for fiasco there, and I’m suspicious about the value hit an extreme groundballer takes when he starts pitching in front of Jeter.

CC shows

that money still talks. Very loudly.

I thought he didn’t want to go to NY…

I'm not sure that's fair

What were the other solid offers? I mean, $160M talks a lot louder than $120M. 33% louder in fact.

Different number of years though.

C.C.

As someone who doesn’t root for the Yankees, I like this deal. Odds are strong C.C. won’t be a star three or four years from now.

One team that has, at times, hit him hard is the Red Sox. If he loses a few to the arch-enemy, I’d love to see a video of the press conference.
