I hope he quits begging to start.

If he does, he could easily be this year's Chacon out of the bullpen.

So

Is this more of the Pirates' attempt to reach out to the Far East?  Signing washed-up relievers?  Somehow I doubt that's gonna help things much.  Especially given the quality of said relievers (crappy)

I like it

Impossible to go wrong with a minor league NRI for a guy like this.  If he pitches well, you've got yourself a low cost veteran in the 'pen.  If he doesn't, the only thing wasted was a few spring training innings.
