Pearce to RF?

"The Pirates this morning also told highly regarded prospect Steve Pearce that he will concentrate solely on playing the outfield, primarily right field, instead of splitting time between first base, his natural position, and the outfield."
Does this mean he's at least got a shot of platooning with Nady? That kind of narrows down Doumit to catcher as well. I feel like this is a good sign. Anyone else?
