Ollie Perez Update; Semi-live Bucs-Yankee Updates

* was able to listen to parts of todays Mets game - the Pirates weren't on MLB radio - and hear how Oliver P was doing. There were several times that I was ready to race into coworkers' offices and yell, "That's the Oliver Perez I REMEMBER!"

* But he got through six+ innings, seven hits, a few walks, and a lot of hard shots right at someone while only giving up two earned runs. He did leave a mess and got charged with one or two more in the seventh.

* Perez made a play to end the sixth and went down injured. But it appears that he only had the wind knocked out of him. Had he been playing for the Bucs, the comined torn hamstring, broken wrist, and freak injury would have had him out for the year.
