Bucs Lose to Boston, 5-3

Stay connected for news and updates

Jason Bay made a couple of mistakes - one seemingly caused by the Florida sun - and the Bucs lost to Daisuke Matsuzaka and the Red Sox today, 5-3. Bryan Bullington allowed only one run in two innings but took the loss, which is just karma for allowing five runs and taking the win a couple days ago. James Boone - who I didn't even know was in camp - went 2-for-2 with a double, and Steve Pearce hit his second homer of the spring. If I've got my math right, Pearce is now hitting .385/.429/1.429 this Spring. I know it doesn't mean much or maybe anything, but it adds to my annoyance that he's not likely to break camp with the team.

Here's the box.
