PNC/Pittsburgh Experience

I'm looking for a little friendly advice from the Pirate faithful.  My buddies and I are taking a baseball trip towards the end of May to Pittsburgh, Detroit, Toledo, Cleveland, and Cincinnati.  Some helpful suggestions might include but are not limited to:

-  Pre-Game bars/restaurants close to PNC

-  Must see inside of PNC.  I believe our tickets are about 15 rows up between the left fielder and the third basemen.

-  Signature food inside the ballpark

-  Best post-game bars in the area (I'm attending a Saturday night game vs the Cubs)

-  How to maximize my return for a Matt Capps booblehead doll.

Any suggestions/advice would be much appreciated.  Also, if you have any input on the other cities I would welcome that as well.

yo

primanti sandwiches are a must

as for bars near PNC...just go to the south side you will have a good time...there are a lot of bars, and it will probably not as crowded because all the colleges would be out by then

Primanti's is over-rated

South Side is not

McFadden's

is a nice bar right next to the stadium.

Drinks aren't cheap, the music is loud and it gets packed, but the female crowd usually looks pretty good.

I will second that you should get a primanti bros sandwich inside.

Pregame is tough, Jerome Bettis has a restaurant right near the park and they have decent food and a good draft beer selection.

ballpark food

I’ve done several baseball road trips, so I’ll try to help you out in the food department.

Primanti sandwiches in Pittsburgh… you can get them in the park but I’d recommend going to the one downtown.

My family lives in Toledo so I can help you out with that one as well… go to Tony Packo’s, there’s one right across from the Mud Hens’ ballpark.

In Detroit, I like Hockeytown Cafe… it’s right across from Comerica Park.

Get Skyline chili in Cincy.

Huh. I have some buddies who work at Skyline in Dayton. I’ve never been there when I went to visit them. Maybe I should try it next time.
