Mock Draft results

I like the draft and thanks to Vlad for talking the game a bit and allowing me bounce ideas off him as well.

Round 1:(2) Tim Beckham SS Georgia High School

Round 2:(48) James Darnell 3b South Carolina

Round 3:(79) Nick Mardone LHP Kentucky High School

Round 4:(114)Austin DiCharry RHP Texas High School

Round 5:(144) Brandon Miller C Georgia High School

The lowest rated player in the Baseball America ratings was the final pick,Brandon Miller and he just missed the top 100 at 101.

Good draft

I especially liked the 2nd, 3rd & 5th round picks. I was very surprised the catcher was still there. Too bad Alvarez was gone.

I checked a couple of the draft threads and it looked like there were a bunch of 12-yr-olds posting. Nobody could follow directions, they wouldn’t stop chattering or trying to do John’s job for him, people kept disappearing, etc. It was nothing like that the year I did it. I think his site has gradually gone downhill due to the immaturity of a lot of the posters.

Very nice

The problem is that the other real draft directors are a little more focused, so this sort of haul seems unlikely. Most of the projections suggest that Alvarez will be available, in which case the Bucs will probably take him.

Viva Clemente!

Pretty good picks.

I’d take that draft, if it fell to us in the real world, no question.
