Moskos v. Wieters
Tonight in Lynchburg,VA is the first (and maybe only) Dave Littlefield game: Moskos v.Wieters.
Here is the box:
Given that several sources including ESPN and SI predict that Wieters will be in the majors later this summer, this may be our first and only look at DL's nightmare match-up.
So far....Moskos pitching well and Wieters is 1-for-2.....

Moskos won this round (and the game)
I have no idea about the caliber of the other Frederick players (besides Wieters), but Moskos’ line was pretty good: just 6 singles allowed in 6 2/3 innings, plus 3 K. Meanwhile, Wieters had one of those singles, and allowed 2 SB.
Frederick
The Keys are pretty loaded with prospects as former first rounders Brandon Snyder and Bill Rowell start at the corner infield spots and Brandon Tripp has been moving up some Baltimore prospect charts.
They also have some nice pitching prospects(Arrieta,Beato and Erbe) as well.
Sadly, for Baltimore fans-just about all the system prospects are in Frederick for now
Well
As I am sure you Pirates fans can relate to, the Orioles can wait. We have not been good for a long time, and we are not going to be good for a while longer. Hopefully MacPhail knows what he is doing and lets Wieters works his way up through the system instead of rushing him. Wieters has been demoloshing Single A though and it would be tempting for any GM to move him up.
On another note, Moskos looks real solid in the farm right now and I have been following him a bit as I got to see him play for Clemson. I don’t know as much as you all do about him, but he looks like he could be a real solid closer, and if not he could move from the pen to the rotation in due time. I wouldn’t have been upset if he had gone to the O’s this year but Wieters looks like he is going be a complete stud so far.
My best game plan is to sit on the bench and call out specific instructions like 'C'mon Boog,' 'Get ahold of one, Frank,' or 'Let's go, Brooks.' -Earl Weaver
