I understand he needs his days off...

but man, I would try to keep him in the lineup somehow against the better teams. Especially with the 2 auto outs we have in there everyday.

If JVB has to pitch today...it's pretty safe that...

someone else will be on the DL by Wednesday…or Herrera will be starting…or worse yet…bullington. The only way Barthmaier or Taubenheim can come back for Wednesday is as an injury replacement.

I’m not watching the game today, but last time I saw Sonnanstine I thought he might end up as a reliever. He was throwing from a sort of 3/4 motion at the time. I gather he doesn’t do that so much anymore. He doesn’t throw very hard and uses different arm angles and a bunch of different pitches to make up for it.

after 3rd spot in the lineup today…they’re fairly toothless. Damon, Jeter, ARod, Posada (at 1st), Betemit, Cabrera, Molina, Christian and Rasner. No Giambi or Matsui or Cano. A Sunday lineup. Of course, Jeter gets the 1st hit, and Ollie immediately throws a WP.
