Diamondbacks 3, Pirates 1

Well, Brandon Webb took a no-hitter into the sixth, which tells you a lot of what you need to know about this game. Ian Snell did at least rack up strikeouts; his control was all over the place, but his stuff looked good. Unfortunately, he walked off the mound after the fifth visibly wincing and making a throat-cut sign across his neck as he left the field. I haven't heard any indication that there's a real problem, but I wouldn't be incredibly shocked if we heard something about him late tonight or tomorrow.

Oh, and Ryan Doumit started at catcher and went 0-for-4.

What happened?

I didn’t see the game.

Was Snell hurt fielding a ball? Did he get hit by a liner? Or did he wince in pain after throwing a pitch?

Obviously, as you’re well aware, there’s a difference between the three.quesquestion

Doumit

Good to see that “clank” hasn’t lost anything behind the plate.
