but I have a hard time coming to grips with the fact that I’m older than Xavier Nady. I’m 32, but he just seems like he should be older than me for some reason.

I dunno...
Most of them still look youthful, but Nady just looks like a grizzled vet to me. Maybe it’s the fact that he’s always got a wicked 5 o’clock shadow.

From the "News That Has Aboslutely Nothing To Do With The Pirates" Department
The Phillies grabbed Joe Blanton from the A’s today for 3 prospects, including left-hander Josh Outman from Class AA Reading, second baseman Adrian Cardenas and outfielder Matt Spencer from Class A Clearwater.
Cardenas was considered one of their best prospects in the system…
Blanton is a wild card, and I don’t know if it’s really that much of an improvement over Adam Eaton…

Somewhat off topic
Heard an interview yesterday with Ernie Harwell—long time Tiger broadcaster.
He was asked who his favorite MLB broadcaster was. The first name out of his mouth was the ol’ Possum, Jim Woods. I was surprised, but the interviewer was more surprised. He had clearly never heard of him. Harwell had to explain he was a second mike guy, who he first knew from time together in Atlanta. Harwell’s second favorite was Bob Prince.
