Pirates vs. Rockies, 20 July 2008

Pittsburgh Pirates at Colorado Rockies, Jul 20, 2008 3:05 PM EDT

Zach Duke vs. Aaron Cook, 12:05 PM. Here's an interesting matchup, because Cook represents a sort of best-case scenario for Duke's career.

Not sure

Kennedy was expected to be in the MLB rotation, but failed. He has done well at Scranton since being sent back. Tabata looks like he is having a bad year at Trenton and Jackson just an ordinary season at AA.

Rates Kennedy and Tabata as B+ and Jackson as B-. Kennedy and Tabata were the #2 and #3 propspects in the system behind Chamberlain going into 2008. Jackson was #5.

I'd like to help

but if I went and pitched, we’d give up 20 runs in the first inning before JR decided to pull me.

And if I was manager, the “starters” would never win because they’d only pitch 3 innings (max), pissing them all off to the point of revolt, leaving the team with no pitchers.

the good part of the line-up (is that possible?) is up…
Eye Chart, McLouth, Jason-ity, X-Man, Black Hole, Chavez… you’d have to imagine Doumit or Nate Sr. would bat there…

We have to get through 8 batters to tie, so that’s at least 8 pitches.
And then at least 3 more for the 3 outs, so that’s 11.
11 > 10, so over.
