He's been alright though...
save the game yesterday (where Peavy supposedly had a huge strike zone).
He takes pitches… aka no 1-pitch outs.
I don’t remember many DPs from him.
Of course, he won’t give you a ton of HRs… but you know, our 5th spot is kinda like Seattle’s DH. Right?

Went to the ass-whupping Saturday evening :(
Everybody in the stadium started freaking out when JR pulled McLouth, Bay, etc. Everyone just assumed that they got dealt in the middle of the game again… hehe.

God, for all the "good offense" thing
it’s so frustrating to watch the bottom of the line-up in situations like that.
Bases loaded, 1 out… and we see 2 Ks. Sure, it was Snell & CGz. But still… at least hit the ball.

I can understand management quitting on the year...
...but I can’t understand it from the players. If you’re a big league player, you made it because you’re super competitive. You can’t just give up in July.

I don't know... I'm not a player
but I’d imagine that giving it your all through July (even with the horrible pitching… something that isn’t improving at all) and seeing no improvement by the pitching (and no even alright additions to help) and the trades can’t help.
Plus, the trade of X-Man has to hurt… 1 less solid hitter this year (Pearce hasn’t shown anything yet) leaves you with 3 good hitters (Nate, Jason-ity, Doumit), 2 eh? guys (Black Hole, Freddy), and 4 bad ones (Jack, the pitcher, Joey Bats & Pearce until he proves himself even a bit).

God... if this team is going to stink it up
