The Utah Jazz. The Jazz... duh.
The best NBA team in Utah... no doubts about it!
Playing For Pride. Pirates, Utes, Panthers, and more...
Because, in the end, only one team can "win it all".

not me

I’m now working :(

Scored free tickets last time but couldn’t go

Obviously

Nate isn’t entirely healthy…or he’d be starting against a right hander. Now it becomes apparant why Pearce is up for the weekend. Freddy appears to be getting somewhat of an extended rest this week with Rivas Wednesday night…off day yesterday…and Gomez today.

by Thunder on Jul 4, 2008 2:05 PM EDT reply actions

I see...

Brewers announcers saying that Nate has a stomach virus.

Ben Sheets will be a FA after this season

Should the Pirates take a chance and try to sign him?

by Bad Andy on Jul 4, 2008 2:12 PM EDT reply actions

Sure, why not.

As long as it doesn’t cost the world to get him.

Won't the injuries knock it down?

Or has he been injury-free this year?

If not,

I guess a rotation of Snell, Gorzo, Duke, Dumatrait & Maholm would be enough… unless the team hopes to start winning next year.

I think the asking price will be

In the range of $15-18 mil per year…....for 5 years (option year not included)

Sheets is one of the guys

I wouldn’t mind seeing the Pirates go after. It WOULD give us a legitimate ace.

to be a long reliever…

We're talking about 2 pitchers in Class A with a 4+ ERA.

One of them is going to make the Bullington draft decision actually look good (probably Moskos).

According to MLB trade rumors

the Brew Crew are going after CC Sabathia.

Our middle infield

has been a revolving door of total sucktitude.
We need to find answers there… now.

It depends

on whether this is the Pirates offense that shows up, or the one that doesn’t remember how to swing a bat.

Imagine that

A Pirates pitcher…walking the opposing pitcher. Like we haven’t seen that before.

by Thunder on Jul 4, 2008 3:37 PM EDT reply actions

Ummm

why is Gorzo still in there…only 10 hits and 6 runs.?

by Thunder on Jul 4, 2008 3:45 PM EDT reply actions

Bob Walk loves Jinxing us

before this inning: “with sheets leading off, Gorzo has pretty much a guranteed out leading off the 5th” He walked him.

as the Fielder pop up was in the air: “I think that’s gonna be the 3rd out” it drops.

How does Bay

miss Minky by 10 feet with a throw from 100 feet away?

by Thunder on Jul 4, 2008 3:49 PM EDT reply actions

Even the Brewers announcers

can’t figure out why Russell left Gorzo in so long.

by Thunder on Jul 4, 2008 3:50 PM EDT reply actions

In the 10 minutes

it took me to drive to work - the only 10 minutes of this abortion I’ll listen to or see - everything goes to sh*t. Sadly, that’s not anything like a team record for this year.

And, in other news ...

Braves send Jeff Francoeur to minors.

Comment: He was hitting just under the LaRoche line (.234/.238).

Indians DFA Joe Borowski, AL saves leader a year ago.

Comment: Closers are a dime a dozen.
