hopefully

Andy really breaks out today.

Moss needs to get some hits today at least 2

by Cence on Aug 17, 2008 1:05 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Interesting

Look forward to this game, I want to see how Moss and Andy do against Santana.

That being said I’m not optimistic at all.

I made most of my life decisions at a Foghat concert... I stand by them.

Get through the first inning

no runs today come on karstens

by Cence on Aug 17, 2008 1:28 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

yes

Five points for victory:
1) don’t give up run(s) in first inning
2) get offense started early….preferably before the 7th innning
3) play tight defense…if we don’t have Doumit in, Chavez better catch damn well
4) string together hits instead of spreading them throughout the game
5) DONT’ GIVE UP RUNS IN THE FIRST INNING

KARSTENS

I’m excited to see how he does with Chavez behind the plate again those two were quite impressive during the arizona game

Wow! 15 strikes out of 19 pitches.

I admire his boldness, and wish some of our other guys would just throw the ball, too.

Welp...

Only problem is...

if you are seeing the TV feed…it was Lanny. And I know he said it on Nate’s AB in the first.

Oof

So much for no early deficit…

It's just

not as early as the last two days.

The Jack

and now the boot by Andy…I think they just give up sometimes

10 Quality Starts in a row/Aug. 08 - BUT now we can't hit:(

Wouldn't be surprising

I give up on them sometimes top.
Like right now i’m wondering how Tabata’s doing today.

This

is one of the worst stretches of offense (if you can call it that) I can remember. We can’t do ANYTHING

by northsidenotch on Aug 17, 2008 3:18 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Indy

is up 8-2 after 3. Bautista 2 for 2 with a HR and 4 RBI, playing RF.

by Thunder on Aug 17, 2008 3:23 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

its getting so bad

I might watch CMT….

if he's lucky.

Don’t know if his spike caught…or whether he actually hurt it on the swing.

by Thunder on Aug 17, 2008 3:37 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

looked

like he twisted it when he did his little jump to turn to start running. I would say it’s an ankle sprain, which would probably still land him on the 15 day DL

by northsidenotch on Aug 17, 2008 3:38 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Well,

I think that ends any discussion whether Pearce will be playing. I don’t see Moss playing any time real soon.

Welcome aboard MCCutchen

by Cence on Aug 17, 2008 3:40 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

someone

would have to designated for assignment then if that were to happen, which I don’t think is likely

by northsidenotch on Aug 17, 2008 3:42 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

More likely

Bautista to come back, or Morgan to come up. If we are going to see McCutchen…it will likely be Sept. 2nd or later. Finding someone to DFA isn’t much of an issue. Herrera, for instance.

Joey Bats

is a triple short of the cycle through 4 innings at Indy. Cutch and Walker have 2 hits apiece, Bixler has 3. Cutch2 out after 4.2 IP, 7 H, 5 R, 1 BB, 3 K. Indy up 11-5.

by Thunder on Aug 17, 2008 3:56 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Altoona

scored 4 in the 9th to win 5-4

by northsidenotch on Aug 17, 2008 3:59 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

we

haven’t even come close to scoring

by northsidenotch on Aug 17, 2008 4:02 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Hmmm...

RoPaul pulled from Indy’s game after the 5th inning (and he would have been leading off the bottom of the 6th). I wonder…if Doug becomes the 4th OF, he won’t be the emergency catcher as well.

Hansen's

slider is looking good today

by northsidenotch on Aug 17, 2008 4:14 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

The problem with building towards the future

is that this team right now is a pain to follow… even on gameday.
I understand that it’s required, but sometimes… I don’t know.
It’d be nice to score a couple of runs and maybe win occasionally.

Curse you, DL!

The Utah Jazz. The Jazz... duh.
The best NBA team in Utah... no doubts about it!
Playing For Pride. Pirates, Utes, Panthers, and more...
Because, in the end, only one team can "win it all".

by UtesFan89 on Aug 17, 2008 4:47 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

It's not always terrible

but that 5 pitch 9th inning was just… sad. It’s like they just decided they were too tired to play anymore and wanted to go home.
