I made most of my life decisions at a Foghat concert... I stand by them.

That line-up...
certainly not welcoming Gorzo back in a “we want to win” way
The Utah Jazz. The Jazz... duh.
The best NBA team in Utah... no doubts about it!
Playing For Pride. Pirates, Utes, Panthers, and more...
Because, in the end, only one team can "win it all".

Also via Dejan
Davis in relief the rest of the year… Duke will start Wednesday.

6 man?
So we aren’t doing the 6-man rotation to protect Maholm?

Freddy 7th
Its about time. No walks since June 15 and ranked 156 out of 157 in MLB among those qualified for the batting title. Why in the world did that jackass Russell wait until the games were meaningless to do it? Dejan talked about it on the nightly sports call last night. I wonder if he planted the seed in Russells head?

In case nobody else has noticed yet . . .
Nyjer Morgan is not a major league player.

That's It!
Knew there was something about him. Couldn’t quite put my finger on it. Thought I had seen him in some movie or something. . .

Juan Samuel was the Phils leadoff man when Russell was a rookie, I think that imprinted on Russell like a duckling who sees a cocker spaniel and thinks its his mother.

Gorzo’s topping out at 90, and throwing a lot of junk. Not a good sign.

So what's Morgan brought so far...
a stolen base, a caught stealing….a pickoff…that’s one of three (.333) in the speed department…where you need to hit about .750 to be successful. And nothing spectacular on defense. Please remind me again why we need him…other than the fact we need a “CF” for a few days. Michaels has been playing enough where we could have put him in CF, where he’s played a little before.

maybe they feel morgan has a bigger upside then Peirce? probably not though

Jim Tracy and Dave Littlefield
were the only two humans on the planet who thought that.

why can't Milwaukee's announcers
pronounce “Sanchez” correctly?

Gorzo Only throwing 89 MPH

Interesting...
it took Chris Duffy 2 weeks to find his way to Indianapolis. It takes Steve Pearce less than 24 hours to get from Milwaukee to Durham.

guess that
brushing back Braun didn’t exactly bother him.

i'm getting tired of the brewer announcers
by jonoz13 on Aug 23, 2008 8:22 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
I'm
not even listening to them anymore. I got the Pirates game on the computer and the Steelers game on tv and listening to that

Looks like the offense
got lost somewhere between Latrobe…Heinz Field and the Metrodome.

Only problem with that...
is down here around NOLA…that means I have to listen to Gumbel and Dierdorf.

Maybe while he was at AAA
they should have taught Gorzo how to bunt. Geesh!

I am an idiot

Charlie predicted a low scoring game tonight, well, he was half right
by jonoz13 on Aug 23, 2008 8:47 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
In his defense I’m not sure if he realized Gorzo was pitching tonight when he made that prediction

doesn’t look like we will score many tomorrow either, with CC pitching.
