Steelers game is on three channels in PGH
Pirates are on none….this stinks. Radio time…

I'm so conflicted :/
I want the Phils to do well, but I am first and foremost a Pirates fan… though the Pirates are obviously out of it and the Phils aren’t. WHO DO I ROOT FOR?!?
.500 or bust...
are you
going to any of the games this weekend?

Unfortunately, I'm not
Tonight, I’m watching the Stillers, and the next two sold out before I could get tickets.
.500 or bust...
I'm watching the Steelers, and listening to the P-burgh radio feed
of the baseball game because I’m blacked out on mlb.tv
.500 or bust...
same with me
except i’m in PGH. FSN is for some reason airing the Steeler game even though it’s on KDKA

Fortunately
if the football game gets boring (and it probably will once the starters are yanked), I do have the Phillies game on locally :D

holy hell
first game I see in live video in some time and the start is delayed some 20 minutes…argh
Jason

Jason
The Hanging Curve
It sounded like a bit of a fuster-cluck

.500 or bust...
yeah
he had to drive slowly around the ballpark in a convertible. So slow that the mascot could ride a small tricycle in front of them.
Jason
The Hanging Curve
yeah......
I thought it was 7:05, now ESPN box score says 7:35 (delayed due to ceremonies) What’s up with that?
Brian from Raise the Jolly Roger!
by Raise the Jolly Roger on Aug 8, 2008 7:34 PM EDT up reply actions
Why the half hour delay?
Is it Eve night? Are they honoring Bill Cosby? Did Fabian throw out his hip while singing the National Anthem?
Juan Samuel
ran him over in the convertible after being inducted into the phillies hall of phame

Utley gets hit by a ton of pitches
because he lets himself get hit by them. No mystery there, Walk…
.500 or bust...
The Phillies offense
has been struggling lately, so we need to take advantage of that.
.500 or bust...
Defintley very few positives from him so far
If we keep him in the lineup every day (which may be the right move) that will be painful

Team has to clean house
All the minor league managers and coaching staff are highly suspect.
Look at Pearce’s development compared to Luigi, Triple-M, Karsten, Mr. Wonderful, D. McCutchen and even Tabata and B. Morris. It’s the curse of Chad Hermansen—every talented Pittsburgh prospect is ruined by the lack of decent minor league coaching.
It's really noticable now
I never saw it so well as now that the team has 8 players from Yankees, Red Sox and Dodger organizations to compare with.
The Phillies have good hitters
but I could get used to facing guys in a slump

.500 or bust...
Was Robin Roberts there tonight?
If so it looks like he stayed and is pitching for the Phillies.
It sure can’t be Joe Blanton throwing a 1 hitter with 6 K’s already!!
Maybe it’s Steve Carlton turned around and pitching righty?
He was there...
and I’ve never seen him and Blanton in the same room together… hmmmmm….

I was just about to say that. You guys have been calling for him for two years now. Give him a chance before you right him off.
He took it to the warning track
just missed a homer by about 10 feet, and Werth made the catch. It’s the closest we’ve come all night…

Harry Lime: Don’t be so gloomy. After all it’s not that awful. Like the fella says, in Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love – they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock. So long Holly.

What worries me as a Buccos fan
is that this sleeping giant of a Phillies offense could wake up at any minute.
What worries me as a Phillies fan is that the Pirates are holding us scoreless, and our offense is nonexistent.
.500 or bust...
If we lose this game
that would be 2 out of 3 quality starts we lost. You know tomorrow they will give up 13 and score 7
What's funny is that Bautista's
first pitch to Werth was at his head, and the crowd misconstrued it as intentional… but then he proceeded to throw 3 more balls nowhere close to home, and the crowd was like “oh…”
