Josh Phelps batting 2nd for the Cards. Nice to see him back.

The cards just love to lose to us. Not bad so far though. Maholm looks solid

Maholm thinks he has to pitch a complete game
After his last start, when he had to go Rochambeau on Bautista and Grabow.
It would be nice if they would make an effort to get Nate 100 RBI’s. Give the team something positive to work on, and give Russell a chance to explore the OBP concept.

I woulda doubted you
But Nate’s up to 89 RBI’s now, so I guess there is a chance. Of course, the PBC has scored about a week’s worth of runs tonite.
You think he’s got 5 more HR’s in his bat for 30?
Home runs are a private goal. 100 RBI’s involves the team.

Wow
I was not expecting the Cardinals to look this bad. Some good plays by the Pirates though, making the plays when they need to.

Just got home
Who are these guys masquerading as my Buccos?

So,
everyone has both a hit and a run scored except Bix, Mario & Luigi…

Maybe the Cards
just want to keep the PBC batting in the 5th until the rain comes back and make them replay the game? :)
I agree
but Maholm has spent a lot of time on the basepaths tonite, so I wouldn’t take a chance on going past 90 pitches.
Tracy would pull Maholm, just so that he could bring him back one extra time to reach the coveted 10 win plateau.

Dunno if you have seen it:
Barthmaier to take his place, D. McCutch up for weekend

Also,
2nd article says A. McCutch & Walker up for the weekend as well.

Nate has also , , ,
. . . gone over 100 Runs scored tonite. He’s at 102.
Runs is one of my favorite stats.
Gonna be a battle
between Bix & Luigi for lowest BA

Thanks anyway,
Gamecast caught up.

And for those of you without TV
It wasn’t even close. The throw was way wild and would have gotten Nate by a mile.
