Another hit for Freddy
I hope he can pick up next season playing the way he is now.
The Giant announers are reporting
that Chris Young has a perfect game through 7 1/3 against the Brew Crew. Didn’t he used to be in the Pirate organization or am I thinking of someone else?
And Gabe Kapler homers
with 2 out in the 8th to ruin perfect game.
we traded him for Matt Herges…who we went on to release before he ever threw an inning for us

Injured?
Anybody know what happened to Nate on that play?

he was diving for a ball in the outfield, it short hopped right into his face, possibly his eye…the lense of his sunglasses busted out, but don’t know if it hit eye or right above eye.

he left the field with a towel over his face, so couldn’t see anything then either
Jason

well
I believe this can be considered the low point of the season

10 now but there also was a report on
McClout – laceration above the eye requiring stiches but it doesn’t sound serious.
good
sounds like it didn’t hit his eye itself, that could’ve been REAL bad

If you're not watching the game it is not as if
the Giant’’s hit the ball hard all inning. It started with a little dribbler down the line and Karsten’s couldn’t quite make the play. There was a little pop up that fell in with guys on 1st and second and Bixler almost got the guy going to third. A bouncer over the mound on a good pitch that snuck through the infield. A ball that Pearce should have caught and a couple of ground balls that got through the drawn in infield.
yeah
I think Bixler DID get that guy on the replay…

It looked like it to me to
but I know I am biased.
Holy smokes
10 runs in one inning….i don’t think I’ve ever seen that before

Don't worry...
with our bullpen…you may see it again this season.
Four hit batsmen by the Giants today at least
including a pitch that almost hit Bixer in the face after they hung that ten spot on us. Has anyone noticed if there was any payback for those or did we just continue to play nice like good little children?
do it
whats to lose at this point?

If our starters won't pitch inside...
why would you expect the bullpen to do it?
Hansen
