Of course he is.
He’s only been playing against lefties.
The Bucs started him against Josh Fogg, a righty, a few days ago.

And nice to see
some other team throw the ball all over the building.
Looking for anyone
wants to go to Sunday’s game, buy cheap seats and move down. Bucs Dugout Day?
What? No, the Steelers don’t play until 8:15.
You should post a fanpost for this question, BD… many more will see it that way.

What is this??
Pirates actually win an argument (well, OK, a discussion).
On the Freddy substitution...
I thought I had read a few days ago that the Pirates were going to have Cruz play several positions. Playing him at 2B tonight after Freddy’s departure would have been a perfect opportunity. Instead, we get 0for3vas.
oh boy

Dejan regarding Freddy's removal:
UPDATE 8:42 p.m.: Second baseman Freddy Sanchez exited the game just now with blurred vision in his right eye. Luis Rivas replaced him. This is the same eye that has given him trouble since April 2007, after a foreign object — a tiny piece of metal — had to be removed from it. This is a first for this year, though, and it is not confirmed that this blurriness is related to that.

Is the team actually trying
for 100 losses?
The Utah Jazz. The Jazz... duh.
The best NBA team in Utah... no doubts about it!
Playing For Pride. Pirates, Utes, Panthers, and more...
Because, in the end, only one team can "win it all".
A couple more insanely long losing streaks
and they’ll have it.

Ohlendorff
Although his ‘line’ was not good, it was not as bad as I expected to see.
In four innings:
6 runs, all earned
9 hits
72 pitches
45 strikes (62.5% – not bad)
27 balls
1 BB
3 Ks
1 HR
He did not get ahead of the hitters very oftem, so he was always pitching from behind.
It seems so in vogue now to talk about ‘command’ – whatever that is supposed to mean.
I would much rather hear managers and on-field personnel talk about ‘control’ as in THROWING STRIKES and GETTING AHEAD OF THE HITTER>
There are very few pitchers who can win consistently who don’t throw strikes and get ahead of the hitters.
This appears to be a problem throughout the Pirate organization - at all levels.
Pearce finally gets his first homer!!!
good for him

Jason

Guess that the Pirates aren't expecting
to score 6 in the 9th, since Capps is pitching the 8th.
Paulino
picks up right where he left off
