Another Prospects List
From John Sickels. The incredibly low ranking of Brad Lincoln is a little bizarre, but there's useful information here.

It’s weird that 2 guys who are in a similar position (Lincoln and Morris) are ranked so far apart. I mean, Morris is younger, so maybe age-relative-to-level (which is pretty bad) killed Lincoln?

Age-to-level and injury.
Sickels is VERY conservative with guys coming back from injury. I think a C is way too low, but hey, it’s his list.

Lincoln-Morris
I think the difference is that Morris has reportedly regained his velocity and Lincoln has not.

Where did you hear that Morris regained his velocity and Lincoln didn't?

I remember reading somewhere else that Lincoln supposedly hasn’t regained his velocity. I’m not sure where that came from. I went to his last game with Hickory and a blooger I know, who was sitting with the scouts, said he was consistently hitting 93. I think that’s about what he generally threw in college, although he may have topped out a little higher.

Kevin Goldstein wrote it a few days ago, but I read the part about Lincoln during the season as well. I did write “reportedly” for a reason. The minor league pitchers I see in person tend to not throw as hard as they purportedly do in their offseason top-10 profiles. I’ve never seen Lincoln pitch, so I’ll defer to WTM. I think he reportedly threw harder than 93 in college, but 93 is certainly a better than average major league fastball.

According to BA...
…he sat 92-94, and got as high as 98 on occasion. I don’t think he’s lost any stuff, and if his numbers were down a bit last year, it was probably more conditioning after the long layoff than anything else.

Lincoln on Lincoln's velocity:
“It was pretty consistent throughout the year. Towards the end of the year I could tell that I was getting a little fatigued and I just told myself that it was part of it – I was still getting my conditioning back. But for the most part everything felt good and I was able to throw the ball in the low 90’s pretty consistently and my command was there for the most part. For the most part the whole year felt good.
