Smizek's Back... And he wants Mientkiewicz.

After much too short of a time, the illustrious Mr. Bob Smizek is back to the Post Gazette as a blogger - and preaching to the PG's "I Love Doug" choir.

I'm not to sure what I think about this, I won't have to read his columns anymore, but as a blogger, he has the ability to post more drivel.

Finally, i give you Bob's first blog post concerning the Buccos...

There are people

who wish Lloyd McClendon was still manager too, because he throws bases and gets in people’s faces and stuff. That’s entertainment!

I don’t know why these people aren’t at WWF Smackdown or whatever it’s called these days instead of at baseball games, where one of the worst things players can do is get all riled up and try to throw the ball 110 mph or swing from the heels to hit it a mile.

but i dont really care if we actually sign him. i think if we sign hinske that is going to be the the final big league signing on our bench. the rest will be minor league guys. jaramillo will be the backup catcher. which i kinda like as well
