PrintBlogging while sick is not fun; blogging while sick and serving jury duty is really not fun. I probably won't get to posting anything else until tomorrow. Sorry if you've sent me an email recently; it may be a day or two before I get to it.
As I'm sure you've heard by now, Peter Gammons is reporting that Rocco Baldelli is set to sign with the Red Sox. Also, Kevin McClatchy has left the Bucs entirely.

Dumatrait News
Dumatrait has had an injury-plagued and very medicore career to date.
My guess is that the Pirates would be looking at a $400-450,000 salary for him for 2009.
I will be very surprised if he ever throws 100 major league innings over the rest of his career.
I would not think that he is a very tradeable commodity, but I certainly think that the Pirates have enough major league arms now that they do not have to waste their time on rehabbing Dumatrait.

Thanks, you two. I couldn’t get out of jury duty for the same reason that I can’t stop writing about the Pirates—I’m too principled and stupid.

… however, being too stupid is another matter.
But I think that you are being much too hard on yourself.
