Wait !
Bixler hit 5 homeruns ? Was this a normal sized ball park, or littlle league ? Or do playstation homeruns as Ryan Howard count towards his stats ?

Bixler hit 9 HR at Indy this year, all during a stretch of about a month and a half where he just went nuts and slugged about .600. He seems to have random outbursts.
IIRC
Ryan Theriot hit like 6 home runs in 10 or so games last year…with a grand total for the year of 7.
OK it was 5 in 12 games. Grand total 7. Maybe no power shortstops have some weird homerun streak gene.

couldn’t be the playstation numbers – even Ryan Howard doesn’t strike out at that rate

Bixler seems like a sad case of a player that has a good minor league career but can’t get it together in the show. I’ve mouthed him as much as the next fan but I feel bad for him. Imagine being so close to your dream but when it comes time to perform you come up short.
