No Putz for Us!
So the palehose sign Putz. The deal is for a one-year, $3-million contract, with up to $3 million in incentives for games finished I don't think we would have paid him that to be a setup man for us. Heck, we would not pay that for a closer!
Someday, the Bucs will be good enough that we will need small parts of the puzzle and be willing to drop some $s to plug some holes. Hopefully by maybe 2013?

I’m interested to see what D.J. Carrasco might cost if he gets non tendered by the ChiSox. Hopefully Capps bounces back (and maybe sheds a few pounds in the process). With a good Capps, Hanrahan, Meek and one more good right handed reliever, I’ll be pretty happy with the right side of our pen. Now for the vacant left side….
On other potential non tender candidate I think the Pirates might have some interest in is Chad Gaudin. He would fit nicely as a final guy in the pen/spot starter.
