Dashed hopes again

Ok, I am doing a little TV trolling when I stumble onto a replay of the '79 Game 7 World Series game. Awesome, a little premature holiday cheer!!! The kids & wife are nestled still snug in bed, so I grab another cup of coffee and sit down to watch the final two innings and the ensuing victory celebration while my soul fills with just how great it is to be a Pirate fan. I am being to feel my heart grow 3x as large as I get visions that this could happen once again in my lifetime. And then.....

Star-divide

The telecast gets pre-empted by a Washington Nationals news conference announcing the signing of Jason Marquis. :(

Great Series!

I bought the series on DVD a year or so back. Sat back and enjoyed it!

One key to that series was after Tekulve gave up the runs in game 4, he came back to not allow a run for the rest of the series. I always recall how he bounced back and never let his team down.

talk about it

i was hoping we had a shot at duscherer, but seems he’s picking from 3 offers, and the bucs havent presented any!

Wait?

We are supposed to be sad because we didn’t sign Marquis? I don’t remember us being linked to him but if we were I’d say we dodged a bullet.

No, not irked at not signing Marquis. But quite irked that any Washington Nationals signing can pre-empt that game.

obviously I missed your point. Sorry.
