PrintTim Brown's recent column for Yahoo! sports focuses on the game's best prospect., but Pirates fans shouldn't read it unless they keep all sharp objects out of reach.
if you guessed that the prospect was drafted in the first round of the 2007 draft by a different team, after the Pirates had made their first selection, and is a Scott Boras client, then you probably know who it is without clicking the link. but don't say you weren't warned....

The poor kid would be a AA starter with a sore elbow if the pirates would have drafted him
I think I've reached a rationalization
If we had drafted Wieters in 2007, maybe Littlefield sticks around another year, and we don’t have Pedro Alvarez & co. today.
At least that’s what I tell myself so I can sleep at night.
