Baseball Prospectus: Pirates' Offense Will Be "Dangerous" Soon
This blurb on Andrew McCutchen is well worth reading if you have a subscription. Kevin Goldstein points out that Spring Training, for whatever it's worth, has been a really positive one for the Pirates, what with McCutchen's solid hitting, an extremely good debut by Pedro Alvarez, and more good performances by Andy LaRoche and Ross Ohlendorf. (Goldstein doesn't say this, but Jose Tabata was very good too.) It further says that the Pirates' offense is going to be "dangerous" within a few years.

It's up to Luigi
I’m guessing Huntington is still trying hard to justify the Jason Bay trade with the season ticket holders and PPG bloggers.
So if Raggedy Andy can put up some numbers I’m confident he’ll be in the lineup every day.
"Soon" is relative ...
as in -- The holiday season will be here “soon”.
Obviously, Team Coonington has no plan. If they did, “soon” would mean three minutes at most.
