Bryan Morris Out With Shoulder Inflammation
One never knows whether these things are serious, but Morris sure does seem to have a lot of trouble staying healthy. Let's hope he gets well soon--the rest of the Jason Bay trade isn't looking so hot right now either.

Speaking of Jay-Bay
He just hit his first homer of the season… 2 run dinger in the top of the 7th against the Angels. He also had a really weird catch earlier in the game.
Also, Eric Karros is SO DAMN ANNOYING. Dude, you don’t have to talk constantly just because you’re the color commentator…
There's no crying in baseball...
And
a ridiculous catch in left-center field that saved a Hunter triple.

Credit to phillybucco to stating that before me.
My mistake.

Bay Trade
Our best possible outfield, in my view, is Morgan/McCutchen/McLouth, and our best third baseman is Alvarez (or Walker, with Pedro at first). That ideal situation for us wouldn’t have either Andy or Moss as starters, and Craig Hansen has been horrible. That leaves Morris as potentially the only part that could make the Bay trade look even remotely good for us.
So if you assume that guys who are not currently our best options...
…are currently our best options, then none of the guys from the Bay trade should be starting?
Hmm.
Yoslan Is Making His Move!
Glad to see that Yoslan Herrera is replacing Bathmaier on the Indy roster.
Next stop - PNC Park.
Yoslan Herrera is the answer
to the question:
What Cuban defector did Dave Littlefield waste a guaranteed $2 million on?
It's a shame to see Bryan Morris injured again
and it makes you wonder how much of a top prospect he really is now.
When he is one of your two best starting pitching prospects, it shows how much work we still have to do with the draft and player development.
