Looks like another last second shot victory
in the Bulls/Celts game. Ridiculous. Paul Pierce is amazing.

by OpiateOfTheMasses on Apr 28, 2009 10:04 PM EDT reply actions
calm down the brewers had a gameplan to make maholm throw a ton of pitches because they want to exploit the bullpen again.
by piratesfanatic on Apr 28, 2009 10:05 PM EDT reply actions
well Jorge has a 10.80 ERA
i hope that bodes well for us
I hope JR can keep the wheels from falling off!!!
Not his best performance but hey it appears hes going into the 6th with a decent lead and is in line for the W

I know...
our bullpen is a huge ? but is leaving Maholm in a good decision. I don’t think it is…hope I’m wrong!
I think Bill Hall just answered your question.
by Charlie Wilmoth on Apr 28, 2009 10:14 PM EDT up reply actions
I’m not sure he would’ve thrown Hart out, though.
by Charlie Wilmoth on Apr 28, 2009 10:22 PM EDT up reply actions
i dont personally like the decision but JR must have his reasons
by piratesfanatic on Apr 28, 2009 10:09 PM EDT reply actions
I’m calling it continued, he got hit, just not “a” hit.
I’m looking to talk up the Buccos where I can.

The bullpen desperately needed a QS to give them the night off. I guess Russell tried to squeeze one out of Maholm despite the poor pitches

well we aren’t going to win tomorrow. Sorry, but Snell is way too inconsistent to expect him to hold this lineup down tomorrow. If we’re gonna win a game in this series, it has to be tonight.
I agree. Also, Gallardo is really good.

Well
they didn’t score so I’ll stick around I guess. Heck, the Phils came back to beat the Nats last night

We’re still in this game, and we’ll win tomorrow. When Snell is on he’s lights out, have faith, we have the pieces, we just need to get our injured guys back and pick up another arm for the pen

Actually
You can get it occasionally in Philly, but it’s usually either a special order or pops up in boutique 6-pack shops…. in PA, we can’t buy 6-packs, and we essentially have to buy by the case from distributors, or pay through the nose at a bar or boutique shop

Shiner on the grocery store shelves
(Kroger, Giant Eagle, Shop ‘n Save etc.) here in Mo’town, West by-God. Wine and (some places) liquor, too. Wine/beer counts toward free gas at Iggle, too.
No grocery store beer in Pennsylvania. No grocery store wine, no grocery store liquor.
Smart West Virginia.
Stupid Pennsylvania.
We’re a half-decent bullpen away from winning the division

And Bixler is nothing more than AAA fodder.
Hope so!
