Jim Tracy Takes Over as Rockies Manager

Wow. So I'm getting ready to go out on a nice Friday night. I check yahoo. What do I read? Yep, as you guessed, Jim Tracy is taking over the managerial duties of the Colorado Rockies on an interim basis.

I am actually not a Jim Tracy hater. I don't think he's the worst manager in MLB history or the anti-christ.

Pittsburgh just wasn't his place I guess.

I wish him the best of luck in Denver. Good luck Jimmy.

Check it out.

They deserve each other. A miserable manager for a miserable team.

Who cares?? This is irrelevant all the way around! They are going to be just as bad with him as they were with Hurdle at the helm. Tracy isn’t going to make a single difference in the world. The only reason he got the interim job was because he had managing experience. If anything, the Rockies will only get worse. Their best pitcher, Jason Marquis, will get dealt at the trade deadline and the youngsters like Fowler and Tulowitzki are underachieving big-time. Helton and Hawpe are all they’ve got.

I have nothing personal against Jim Tracy, he wasn’t the reason the Pirates were awful but he is a terrible manager.

I was living with a Dodgers fan when the Pirates hired Tracy and I told him the news and he just burst out laughing and that was basically my reaction to this news.

I made most of my life decisions at a Foghat concert... I stand by them.

Poor bastards.

I feel sorry for them.

He went beyond being just a bad manager, and was a bad person, too. Anyone else remember this?

Children Grow Up, But Pennants Fly Forever

Quite possibly one of the best titles I’ve seen on a fan post ever. Kudos.

WTM

had some good comments. Jim Tracy is a jerkoff.

The Rockies will probably give him a 3-year contract toward the end of this season. He’ll suck up the joint for two and then the team will fire him and pay him for a year to go fishing. It’s not like it hasn’t happened before.
