Matt Capps Out With Elbow Trouble
The elbow was examined this afternoon, and it was determined that there was no ligament or other structural damage.
Capps gave up four runs on three hits and a walk in blowing his first save last night, two runs on five hits Saturday night. That swelled his ERA to 7.56. But he still was throwing his fastball at his standard 93-95 mph.
Russell said Capps did not mention the discomfort until late last night.
He'll miss a few games.
Thanks to Thunder.

It’d be nice if one of these times he’d go out before blowing a lead or three instead of after.

Yeah, I was going to say something like that. Who knows how often pitchers DO do that, though?

agreed.
So, who closes now – provided we even get in that situation?

Different year. Let’s blow saves and sacrifice the team before we complain why don’t we?
