Question about your AAA team
Hey Pirates fans.... I am a visiting Diamondback fan and I have a quick question about your AAA team, the Indianapolis Indians. I don't know if you'll know it but I don't know where else to look. :)
I just happen to be going to Indy next week, and the team does have a game - but it's a night game, I have to be up early the next morning, I'm staying in Keystone Crossing, and it seems like it's about a half an hour drive. (Is there good public transportation by chance?) How is traffic on the 465 - does that half an hour turn into an hour at 6pm?
The other question I have is about accessibility. Really, the only reason I'm even considering going to the game (the night before I have soccer games of my own I need to rest up for) is because I just found out you have Jeff Salazar, and I LOVE him, he's such a sweet guy, and really I would just come to the game to meet him and say hi, catch a few innings of ball, before I've got to be back at our hotel probably by 9pm. But I'm looking at your stadium seating chart and I don't see any wheelchair seats near the front of the park within autograph-asking-distance... :(
So I turn to people who hopefully might be an expert in this area.... or if you're not, can you tell me who might be? ;) What do you know about the stadium's accessibility? How's traffic coming from where I'm staying? Any advice? Thanks!

Sorry, I don't know much about logistics at Indy, never having been there.
Always nice to run across another Salazar fan, though. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you – hope the trip goes well.

Thanks :)
Yeah I love Salazar, he was so nice to me when I met him. The Diamondbacks really need a guy like him back on our roster! Jeff is a really solid player, hope he makes it up with your big club this year.

I live in Indiana.
I go to Indians games pretty regularly, and here’s what I can tell you:
465 usually flows pretty smoothly, but yeah, it turns into a mess during rush hours. Even with the 5 lanes it has at times, it can get pretty congested. My advice would be to leave early so you can get there when the gates open as opposed to when the game starts. This will also give you a better opportunity to meet Salazar, as the team usually exits the dugout and lines up on the 3rd base side to sign autographs and whatnot before the game starts.
Unfortunately, I don’t know much about the handicap accessible seating, but I think they’re all on the upper deck. It’s quite possible that I’m wrong – Victory Field has been voted as the nicest minor league ballpark in America multiple times, so I would guess they’d have some good wheelchair seating – but I’m not positive.

One more thing
From my experiences with the Indians, along with Neil Walker, Jeff Salazar is by far the most friendly player on the team. That says a lot, because for the most part they’re all really friendly.
