Can't wait to read that.
I’m slowly working through the guys one-by-one right now. Great job with this (as usual).

Here's a spot on comment about Victor Black:
“He appears to have the ability to miss bats, though, an ability that the Pirates avoided like the plague under the previous regime.”
I just finished reading Wilbur's excellent work,
and I’ll just say that the team had better pony up some big money to several HS pitchers, or the draft could be a poor one for the PBC.
I expect them to pay for the talent in later rounds well above slot as they did with a number of guys last year, but I won’t be satisfied til I read the guys have signed on the dotted line.
The Draft Isnt Complete...
…until WTM renders his judgements…indispensible site for continued research over the years.
Thank you again for your hard work!
What you lack in web design, you more than make up for in excellent Pirates content, WTM. Much thanks!
Whatever you do, don't change your design WTM

Aside from my non-existent design skills, I can’t do all that much due to lack of space. I just get a small amount of free space from my ISP. I tried putting some photos I took at a Lynchburg game on there and filled it up after just four or so.
(You can always post them here, of course.)

I posted some comments on the draft as well. I’ll be curious what people think.
CLASSIC!
It’s universally accepted in Pittsburgh that Littlefield couldn’t distinguish baseball talent from eating utensils.
Great writeup, WTM. As usual, you provide level-headed coverage that evenly covers the strengths and weaknesses of the draft.
I think I am more optimistic than others about Sanchez.
P.S. It’s “dire straits.”

Excellent and informative as always. I especially liked the section that discussed minor league coaching and talent development as it is an important area that I feel isn’t discussed enough.
I made most of my life decisions at a Foghat concert... I stand by them.

Coaching
It got to be a sore point with me when there were a lot of conspiracy theories floating around about the Pirates being too cheap to hire qualified coaches because they hire Brian Tracy, or about how qualified coaches would never work under Troy Buckley. Never mind that Wilson Alvarez quit in spring training, after it was too late to find somebody else.
