Mclouth injured. Morgan to the Nats Rumor

Nate McLouth departed in the eighth inning Friday with a right hamstring injury.

McLouth came up lame while legging out a single in the eighth inning and immediately reached for his hamstring. He was 1-for-3 before exiting.

Maybe the Braves can take Morgan now. Who do they have left that we might want?

Also read on mlbtraderumors.com that washington and pitts have discussed Morgan for Lastings Milledge. Pirates also asks for a Pitcher as well and Washington said no. Nyjers 29 and hes not gonna be more than a defensive replacement bench player long term. which would be perfect to have late in games as a pinch runner, but Milledge could be a great player. Perfect buy low sell high Trade.

But....

I was looking forward to another PNC Park game where Nyj “was all miked up” and we could listen to all his cool comments.

By the way,

I wouldn’t mind trying a trade of Nyj to the Nats for the two guys mentioned.

I do worry that Milledge has a little “Bradleyitis”, though.

We shall see.

So he can’t count to 3? No, I don’t think he has anger problems, he’s just a bit outspoken. More like “JoeyPorteritis”

Morgan to the Braves

If they wanted him, would Jordan Schafer be workable into a deal for him?

I heavily doubt that.

They already gave us Gorkys, who was rated just a hair below Schaefer. I doubt they’d give up their top OF prospect for a marginal player, whether he underperformed in his ML stint or not.

Not unless the Braves front office suddenly became very, very stupid. Shafer is a lot better prospect, closer to McCutchen than Gorkys.
