The Pirates have the lowest average attendance in Major League Baseball this season. As everyone knows, this is not the first time the PBC has had trouble filling up its own house, but I don't know if it's ever been this bad.
The PIrates have not been out of the bottom five in attendance since 2002.
It's understandable that attendance is low given this lengthy streak of futility, but it's sad that the local population has turned off baseball so much.
So my question--
At what point does relocation become a harsh possibility that we'll have to deal with?
Does PNC's relative youth keep the team around no matter what?
