Interesting line-up. Will get to listen to part of this game, hopefully we can muster some kind of offense. Usually these games against the cubs are barnbusters lol.

Interesting as in...
Ad LaRoche, Sanchez and Wilson are playing?
There’s still time to trade ’em before first pitch.

We started the season with a dynamic bench built around Vazquez, Hinske, and Monroe. If that isn’t a bench you can get behind I don’t know what is

I thought Jones was strictly a RF/1B. If he can play some CF, that adds a lot to his usefulness.
I think Salazar has been the regular CF at Indy since Cutch came up, but can’t confirm on their official site — they still show him as LF.

Nice night for defense on the farm...
Indy already has 4 errors…leading to 4 unearned runs…they are behind 7-2 in the 5th.
Altoona already has 3 errors, including errors on consecutive plays by Gorkys. Curve up 5-4 in the 5th.
Lynchburg only has 1 error, by Locke…but it led to 3 unearned runs. Lynchburg getting hammered 11-3…Locke gave up 5 earned runs in addition to the 3 above.
WV…was rain delayed…game in 2nd inning…Sanchez is playing…and threw a runner out in the first. Owens 1 IP so far, 2 H, 1 K.
State College up 4-0 in the 6th…Aaron Baker with a triple.
Bradenton…rained out.

can we blame it on poor field conditions?
by BattlinBucs on Jun 30, 2009 8:42 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
In Indy's case...
probably poor fielder conditions. Barnwell (normally MI, 2 throwing errors at 3rd), Myrow a missed catch at 1B (heard his best position is DH), Pedro Lopez, normally an infielder, made one in LF as well.
Indy outfield tonight is Pedro Lopez, Luis Cruz and Larry Broadway.

I finally found a little GOOD defense in the minors.
Evidently…the Cleveland system didn’t get the scouting reports on the arm of Tony Sanchez. In his first start for WV…he’s gunned out Lake County’s top base stealer…twice.
Rudy Owens through 4 innings, 4 H, 2 K, scoreless game.

I'd like to think that the Front Office
