We get a game tonight too
What an exciting day. I second the pounding
Interesting line-up. Will get to listen to part of this game, hopefully we can muster some kind of offense. Usually these games against the cubs are barnbusters lol.
Interesting as in...
Ad LaRoche, Sanchez and Wilson are playing?
There’s still time to trade ’em before first pitch.

only if NH hurries
we may not have a bench though
and this...
would be different than any other game, how?? :)
Ugh
We started the season with a dynamic bench built around Vazquez, Hinske, and Monroe. If that isn’t a bench you can get behind I don’t know what is
I just can’t get over the fact that I just read Mike Rizzo calling Nyjer Morgan a “cornerstone” of his organization.
Did he say the same about Burnett?
Either way… speaks volumes about the Nats, no?

anytime
you’ll get to see another beautiful K by our clean up hitter
Holy Crap
They are making you pay for an hour Bullpen session. They should pay the person if they can make it 30 minutes
His ABs are so frusterating
He swings at garbage and watches strike 3 drop in there. Is he too good to protect the plate with 2 strikes?
He always looks like that. TAlk about the ultimate poker face. He reacts the same way to a K as he does a homerun
I,m choosing not to read them. Makes me furious! Are any of you fans of the Bucs on Facebook. For entertainment read the comments to the posts that come across there. wow!
Yeah but its sad…. I have to really make myself not get in arguments with people on there. They are so clueless
And with a name like Flexzilla
the fact that people take me seriously there is hilarious. Well, I do spit out hot knowledge from time to time, but my liberal swearing is good fun for all :).
I believe a lady asked me if I needed to get laid
in a previous blog comment. I just told her that she spelled Nyjer’s first name incorrectly.
It sure as hell wasn't Ny'g'er Morgan
And I wasn’t gonna let that slide.
I’ve seen enough Mc’C’louths and Ryan Domit’s to drive me nuts.
I just read one that said
The trade would made sense if we still had Craig Monroe. That’s gold, Jerry! Gold!

Wow.
What’s the official scoring on them shenanigans that brought Freddy home and put Moss on first?
K, E1?
Should be
K, E2 (since it was a strike out and technically should be caught but they never give passed balls anymore), followed by another E2 on the throw to advance the runners
According to Sportsline: Moss struck out, reached on wild pitch, Sanchez scored, LaRoche to third on Lilly´s fielding error.

anything interesting happe….Holy trading frenzies Batman!!
Will review comments and blogs later, but put me in the “neutral column on trading Hinske and Burnett” and grudgingly accepting of shipping out Nyj Mo
Great pick-up...
along with Karstens for bullpen depth. If Tabata doesn’t go pyscho, well come up well in that trade. Did we get one other player?
ughh. Well throw him in the bullpen
and at least we don’t have to blow our first round pick next year on a middle reliever
most yahoo posters know nothing of baseball. nothing but complaining for the most part about the trade
Steelers - Immaculate Reception. Penguins - Immaculate Rejection. Pirates......Immaculate Resurrection???
apparently. I guess I’ve watching the a different team called the Pittsburgh Pirates
Steelers - Immaculate Reception. Penguins - Immaculate Rejection. Pirates......Immaculate Resurrection???
and apparently trading Nyjer Morgan means Cutch is leaving next year. gotta love people’s logic
Steelers - Immaculate Reception. Penguins - Immaculate Rejection. Pirates......Immaculate Resurrection???
Nothing irritates me more
Is when some ignorant “fan” continues to say that Cutch and Alvarez will be traded away after one year. I go off on that
I try and give them a small history lesson but they don’t understand. After they I just tell them I’m sorry they don’t understand baseball
Steelers - Immaculate Reception. Penguins - Immaculate Rejection. Pirates......Immaculate Resurrection???
I don't get how they can follow a team
when they make zero sense with their comments
Because all they see is the major league level. The only knowledge of a farm system they have is what they call the pirates when they are pissed
Steelers - Immaculate Reception. Penguins - Immaculate Rejection. Pirates......Immaculate Resurrection???
I can't wait...
for the PG poll I’m sure they’ll put up. The results will show the intelligence of most of the voters
There's been some evolution on these blogs
April: For 2009 the PBC could have had the best OF in MLB — Bay, McLouth and Nady.
June: For 2009 the PBC could have had the best OF in MLB — Bay, McLouth and Morgan.
Poor X-Man. Poor Brian Cashman. What a loser trade for the Yankees.
Nice night for defense on the farm...
Indy already has 4 errors…leading to 4 unearned runs…they are behind 7-2 in the 5th.
Altoona already has 3 errors, including errors on consecutive plays by Gorkys. Curve up 5-4 in the 5th.
Lynchburg only has 1 error, by Locke…but it led to 3 unearned runs. Lynchburg getting hammered 11-3…Locke gave up 5 earned runs in addition to the 3 above.
WV…was rain delayed…game in 2nd inning…Sanchez is playing…and threw a runner out in the first. Owens 1 IP so far, 2 H, 1 K.
State College up 4-0 in the 6th…Aaron Baker with a triple.
Bradenton…rained out.
Umm
can we blame it on poor field conditions?
In Indy's case...
probably poor fielder conditions. Barnwell (normally MI, 2 throwing errors at 3rd), Myrow a missed catch at 1B (heard his best position is DH), Pedro Lopez, normally an infielder, made one in LF as well.
Indy outfield tonight is Pedro Lopez, Luis Cruz and Larry Broadway.
Is there ANY chance...
That all of this OF shuffling will lead to Moss seeing more playing time? As if his play hasn’t convinced JR…Can he please be a regular starter?
I'm thinking it has to...
Lastings is injured and won’t play until the second half. Put Young in right and Moss in left. Throw Pearce in as needed when he’s not playing first…or am I missing somethiing?
Now I'm really hating this charity
I’ll throw the money in the river if you stop showing plays again…unbelievable
Instead of color commentary, just let the phone calls commentate this game. we still know whats going on and we don’t have to see that damn dry erase board
Steelers - Immaculate Reception. Penguins - Immaculate Rejection. Pirates......Immaculate Resurrection???
Ohlie K's another
Hell, if annoying charity coverage leads to this kind of pitching, I’m all for doing this every game :P
(just kidding)
I'm droppin' flava, my behavior is hereditary--but my technique is very necessary.
Somehow...
Indy has come back to tie Toledo 7-7. And…obviously…Salazar is on his way to Pittsburgh…because he isn’t in the Indianapolis lineup.
Not that this will please anyone
but every team has been doing a similar charity drive – I switch to lots of games and they’ve all been doing this this week.
I wasn't too bothered by it
until I’m missing entire plays because someone knows how to write numbers on a white board
I like
that teams do charity drives. Just stop switching to people on phones and a white board while baseball is being played
Soto
awesome base running! :P
I'm droppin' flava, my behavior is hereditary--but my technique is very necessary.
ya know there’s a chance nyjer woulda thrown that to a different base

hmmmm....another Nationals reliever
what does that tell you about our former scouting staff’s talent?
Cubs bullpen looking good so far
Chicago reporter interviewed on Colin Cowherd show this a.m. was putting it down big time.
Said it’s always nice to see the Cubs hire the homeless and give them jobs pitching relief for the Cubbies.
I finally found a little GOOD defense in the minors.
Evidently…the Cleveland system didn’t get the scouting reports on the arm of Tony Sanchez. In his first start for WV…he’s gunned out Lake County’s top base stealer…twice.
Rudy Owens through 4 innings, 4 H, 2 K, scoreless game.
What’s funny is that we could have had Ryan Howard for Wells.
