Interesting Article and Link on Sano

http://www.baseballprospectus.com/unfiltered/?p=1297

i like the quote that "this is why it’s no secret that nearly every Latin insider thinks Pittsburgh will end up with Sano."

What would you all put the chances that Sano, if signed, will make it to Pittsburgh?  50-50?, 70-30 for?

I'd have to believe that the front office would think it's a pretty sure thing to fork over that kind of $, but there is always risk. Overall very encouraging.

Thoughts?

Sano...

in my opinion would be as big of a deal as Pedro Alvarez. So far NH has been like the anti- Littlefield. He is taking big risks, making himself a presence in Latin America and the draft, and is actually rebuilding the Pirates. We keep hearing how the Pirates keep doing the same things they did during the Littlefield era, but they are actually doing the exact opposite. Trading our best players away and spending big money is only bad when your doing it for mediocre players, not when your doing it for potential impact guys.

Those same people who say Huntington=LIttlefield...

Will be the same people jumping on the wagon when they start winning, claiming they have been “fans” since the 70’s.

So you think 25 percent of the country is retarded!? Yea, totally. Atleast 25 percent. Well lets do a sample. There are 4 of us and you're retarded. Thats 25 percent. -South Park; Mystery of the Urinal Deuce.

Sign him. Take a chance. If it fails, people will just look at it as another bust for the Pirates and move on. But if it works out and he ends up being the next Hanley Ramirez, then it will obviously open a lot of eyes and we will be looked at more seriously.

oh heck yes

You gotta make this signing if you’re the Pirates. We just need as many players in the minors as we can. That’s why the Nate trade was so good too.
