Community Projection: Andrew McCutchen
Seems only fair to do one now that he's finally arrived...
First the official lines (taken times 2/3 since that much of the season is gone):
ZiPS - 367 PA, .261/.333/.377, 17 2B, 6 HR, 44 R, 28 RBI
CHONE - 330 PA, .261/.337/.362, 17 2B, 6 HR, 47 R, 38 RBI
I personally am going to be more optimistic than either and say 400 PA, .265/.345/.405 with 25 2B, 3 HR, 55 R, and 25 RBI.
(I know just taking 2/3 of the projections is pretty rough math, just trying to create a jump-off point.

I’m going to be a bit bolder. I’m going to give him a higher BA, and I think he wins NL Rookie of the Year.
.280/.339/.365 15 2B, 6 3B, 7 HR, 50 R, 24 RBI, 21 SB

I guessed he'd be called up after the all-star break
when I made my projection here:

I’d like to revise my projection upwards to 290/360/400… not much power this year, but RoY is a distinct possibility.

Just Curious.
Why don’t you guys think he’ll have a nice OBP this year? If there’s one thing he does well in his rookie year, I’d guess it would be getting on base. After all, his advanced approach was his calling card in the minors.

may I ask what you consider to be a 'nice' OBP?
not trying to start an argument, but just curious….
