Ok. Let’s leave that whole exchange in the last thread, though, and not bring it up here.

Brown says...
that’s his 4th walk…all season.
But
To be fair it was an intentional unintentional walk.
a cleanup hitter
with 4 walks in 90 games though?? The 3 previous to tonight…2 were in 3 days in May…and the other was an intentional walk almost a month ago.
Yeah
You didn’t know he was that hard to walk? He NEVER walks, like I said before, it’s almost charming.
I assumed hard to walk
but 4 walks on the season?
That’s… sad.

I believe
At least 2 of them are intentional as well.
If you count tonights
as intentional…yes…the 2 in May were unintentional.
As a bonus
At least for me, it’s the HD game on FIOS…but once again I already pay for Extra Innings, so it’s not as sweet as if I was getting an HD free preview.
And that's that half of the inning

Seems to me this is an atypical Capps year and there is still half a season left to play. Every year of his career Capps’ worth was greater than his salary. It would seem that Capps has been quite the bargain so far. You’re right, we shouldn’t even bother trading this guy. Let’s just flat out release this fat waste of space!!!

Yeah, I’d like to keep things family-friendly. Of course I realize it’s hard to do that when we’re talking about sports, and we’re doing so on the internet.
by Charlie Wilmoth on Jul 17, 2009 10:36 PM EDT up reply actions

I’ll try to keep my cussing limited only to legitimately outrageous events, such as if the Pirates actually manage to win a close one.

Besides, it would be impossible for me to stop the swearing in here without some sort of filter, which I’d rather not have. I don’t know how parents keep kids from seeing unsightly stuff on the internet, if they do try to do that. You can come to a site like this one and the front-page content is pretty innocuous, and then you go into the comments and there’s all this swearing.

Came over here from Talkin' Chop just to comment on Jones
I find it indescribably awesome that the team scored two runs, and they were both on solo home runs by the same guy, and that the second home run was a walkoff in extra innings.
Who the hell is this guy?
28 yr old signed to a minor league deal to start the year
was w the Twins organization forever but only got one chance in the bigs in 2007 and didnt do anything with it
Bob Walk just said the homer went into the river. Is that true? Or is he just being hyperbolic?
